About me, Chloe Stephens

I am an author/illustrator, Living in beautiful Western Australia. I was raised in New Zealand surrounded by rich landscapes and culture.

I have always had a fascination for travel and am fortunate to have seen many exotic places and enjoyed an array of different experiences. Within this travel I have been able to appreciate the huge amount of wild life and culture we have on this earth.

If you know me at all you know I have been a big fan of sloths. This was also passed onto my daughter. Our mutual love of this animal inspired me to create 'Where does sloth belong?' dedicated to my daughter.

When I worked in customer service I had a few Deaf members that would come in and see me. It frustrated me not the fact that they couldn't hear me but the fact I was limiting myself to only being able to communicate with hearing people. I would have to write notes back and forth. 

So, I made the decision to learn and ever since I did it has changed my life and completely opened my eyes!
